Participating Institutes

The doctoral program Bonn International Graduate School of Neuroscience is part of the University of Bonn and offers PhD students the possibility to perform a doctorate in one of the following three involved faculties – Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Arts. Information on the relevant Faculties as well as on the registration process with the different Graduate Studies Offices (Promotionsbüros) are available in the admissions area.

Our non-university partner institutions
BIGS Neuroscience cooperates and therefore includes outstanding scientists from the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in the Helmholtz Association and the Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology of Behavior – caesar. Thus, doctoral students in Bonn get the chance to work together with scientists from Germany´s most important organizations and be taught in modern methods of neuroscience research.
